Well, my husband and I have pretty much decided that we are going to move to Mill Creek or Kirkland. My husband will more than likely be working in Kirkland. My questions are:
1. What is the average commute time from Mill Creek to central Kirkland at about 9:00am? (my husband was commuting an hour and a half each way here so what may be considered a long commute there may seem very reasonable to us) 2. I have discovered that there are "neighborhoods" in Kirkland (ie Norkirk, Bridal Trails, etc). Does anyone have any feedback on the better neighborhoods (less crime, better schools) and which neighborhoods to stay away from? Any information is greatly appreciated! Thanks ![]() |

I haven't commuted that way for two years, but I don't think it's changed that much. I would estimate 45 minutes as an average, with 30 minutes on a good day and 1:15 on a bad day. There really isn't a bad/area to avoid in Kirkland (that I know of). I live in the town next to it (Bellevue). Plenty of tax base to support the schools with the microsoft employees living in the area.
