Hello all, a couple Newcastle questions.

How difficult is it to get from Newcastle to 405 during rush hour?

Are there streets where you don't hear 405 and Coal Creek Pkwy noise while standing outside?

Thanks

Getting to 405 can be hard or easy depending on where in Newcastle you are.
Coal Creek Pkwy is usually the only choke point, and it can be minimized or avoided using other roads like 60th or Lake Wa Blvd. Of course, once you're on 405, you can sit there for what seems like days.

Yes, it's mostly pretty quiet between 405 and Coal Creek Pkwy. There's a trail along the power line right of way behind Lake Boren, with houses nearby, and I've walked on that trail a lot and not heard Coal Creek traffic.
Newcastle's pretty large, physically. Streets right off of May Valley Rd are also quiet, near the Squak Mountain trailhead

The trails are something to check out. Do you see many people walking, like around the shopping area.

It would be nice if there was an Eastside neighborhood with a normal commute to downtown Bellevue that has a decent walkable business district and is also not too expensive. That's the kind of problem that will keep someone up at night.
