Yeah, it was thundering here too and it was loud ...being closer to the mountains is probably why we were getting hit harder with the rain, thunder, and lightning more so than north of Seattle. Are you in the convergence zone? ...that north King/south Snohomish county area?
And I missed yours, also! *still finding my way around this place* And some days I don't have time to be here at all.

To answer your question, I'm in Skagit County, about 20 min north of the convergence zone. Though sometimes I think the Zone reaches up and pulls us in...(now That is not highly scientific....)

T'was drizzly all day here, but mild ~ don't mind it at all In my mind it's much more liveable than languishing @ 95-104 degrees, etc.

*heh* I'll have to side with CityGirl on this one, Macrina. I'll actually take the 110 degrees of my house in the desert. I really miss it right now. I'm almost tempted to turn on the heater. *brrr*

Ah ok, you're in Skagit county. You're pretty close to the "banana belt" aren't you?

are you OK? You want to turn on the heater? Right now in my room is 82 degrees and I am very hot and I am opening the windows because I can't breathe. In Seattle I turn on the heater in the winter very rarely, almost never because the weather is very mild

*laughs* Am I OK? No, just old. I remember when I was younger I'd hardly ever turn on the furnace either. All my friends used to kid me about going around in short sleeves and no jacket even in the Seattle 40 degrees and rainy winters. Now, I can't stand it ...that's why I moved away and only come back in the summer.

How did your room get to 82 degrees?! The sun wasn't out all day today.

I had all my windows open with the nice breeze coming in. It was great. Worked in the yard and cleaned my place all day. Its 10pm and I'm sitting on my couch watching tv enjoying the breezes through the windows.

OK, I'm a weenie ...I had to put on long underwear and wool socks. I guess part of the reason is that I'm under quite a few trees and it's a bit cooler out where I am than it would be in the city ...but still!

I only WISH for my house to be 82 degrees! It stays quite cool with all the trees and tile floors.

You guys realize I'm pregnant and still cold right?

Sun, sun, glorious sun! I will never complain because it's just not around long enough to be a problem. Sun recharges my batteries for the long gloomy winter and spring. And the tomato plants are fantastic.
Yes, this is my only quandry - trying to grow my Jersey tomatoes in Seattle. I am hoping the abundance of fresh food markets will compensate.

Hahaha, I love this weather... Barely 70 degrees in July? Couldn't have it any better, and surely more tolerable than the heat we had just last week.. And looks like more rain tomorrow... Not a problem.. My only hope is a little bit of dryness Saturday when we're at the Bite of Seattle, but if not, the beer garden's will have cover I'm sure..
