Hello all,

I just joined this site, but from the massive amount of threads it looks like I can find help here. First off, I'm a 22 year old single male and will be graduating college this spring, moving to Bellevue to work for PCL - a construction company in Factoria, just off I-90. I'm looking for a single bed/bath apartment, preferably not a studio, in a fun, young neighborhood that's not too far from work (no more than a 45 minute commute). I don't really know anybody in the Seattle/Bellevue area, so I'd like to live in a place that's walking distance from bars and restaurants frequented with people around my own age. I grew up in Portland, so I'd like to live somewhere with a similar layout. I'm looking to spend no more than about $1,500 a month including utilities, and I was hoping somebody could throw me the names of a few apartment buildings. I don't need marble countertops, a fireplace or stainless steel appliances, but I would like to live somewhere that's been remodeled in the past 5-10 years and not cheaply built or run-down. I've been looking at a few places online just down NE 8th on 140th called "Foothill and Woodland Commons" and "Palisades", as well as another in Northwest Bellevue called "Courtyard off Main" that don't look too bad. My only concern is that they're all about 2 miles from what looks like the "heart" of the Bellevue community.

ANY help is greatly appreciated, as I've never lived in Bellevue or Seattle before, and have no clue what I'm getting into. Thanks!

Evan

My husband spent his early twenties in Foothill Commons, and I visited him a lot there. Good bachelor pads, but you won't be able to walk anywhere except the Safeway, Starbucks and a Dim Sum place.

Definitely look around downtown Bellevue if you want more excitement!
