Hi, I'm hoping I can get some help here, as I only created an account to ask this question.

My prom is coming up this Saturday (June 4th) and my friends and I have decided prom picture packs are waaaaay too expensive for us, so we are going to take our own.

My first question: What are some good places we could go to take pictures with a nice backdrop? We live in Lynnwood, and our prom is in Bellevue, so anything along the drive would be great, so we don't have to go out of our way. Also, what would everyone recommend is the best time to take pictures? I know it gets dark about 8:30-ish, so when would you recommend would be the latest we could take them and still see daylight?

Second question: We are looking for a place to eat dinner as well. We are all on a fairly tight budget, so we are looking for something fairly inexpensive in the areas of Lynnwood and Bellevue, or somewhere along the way. Two of the group members have asked that we not go to Mexican, Cajun, or anything Asian (Thai, chinese, japanese,etc.). So if you could think of any Italian restraunts or something like that that happens to be affordable, that would be great!

Thanks! I hope I can get some good help from you guys!

If the weather is nice, park on Alaskan Way in Seattle, near the Olympic Sculpture Park and have them taken with the bay and Olympic mountains
in the background.

Another spot to try is at Pier 66, there is a public area upstairs which provides great background views.

Then on the way to Bellevue try Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island.

For the photos you might consider the Bellevue Botanical Garden. It's quite beautiful.

Bellevue Botanical Garden Visitor Information

Some great photos of the place (note that the flower lights are only up during a limited time of the year (ie Christmas) and that when they are up there is a fee to enter (otherwise I think it's free)):

There's a couple of Italian restaurants in Kirkland that aren't too pricey: Lucia and Restaurant Paradiso come to mind.
