I'm so happy to see Windowpane doing so well. Mark Harris (bass player) is a great guy and friend...we worked together for years at a restaurant in Seattle and he always had a goood attitude and a big heart. Him and Glen moved from Maryland to Seattle around the time I did (late 90s) and they've given their all to their passion of their music. Love to see it paying off.

Seattle's music scene in my opinion is great.
It is really good for Indie rock, Electronic, and Jazz especially. There is also some good indie hip hop too.

Some great music bands from the Seattle area: Modest Mouse, Assemblage 23, Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam, Blue Scholars. Also, the Postal Service has some connections with Seattle. There are plenty of others too but I just am mentioning some examples. Death Cab for Cutie are from Bellingham, WA, which is not that far north from Seattle.

Also Seattle has plenty of great music festivals such as the:

-Seattle electronic music festival(which is called the "Decibel International festival of Electronic music") Decibel International Festival of Electronic Music, Digital Art, and New Media.

-Seattle jazz festival

-Bumbershoot festival

-Sasquatch music festival(which is in Central Washington state but has close connections with Seattle)

-And some other music festivals too.

Also, there are many music concerts throughout most of the year in Seattle with all types of musicians from all over the world that tour in Seattle and play all types of music genres there.

Seattle is definitely in the top 10 for music scenes in the USA and there is substantial evidence to prove this.

Would you like to cite some of this "substantial evidence"? Or perhaps it is classified information?

I've been here now going on four years and I say it's a dead zone for music if you aren't into grunge, garage, or garbage.

I already mentioned a lot of substantial evidence in my post before this one that proved how wrong your statement is about Seattle's music scene.
I am not going to repeat myself with I already said about Seattle's music scene.

Grunge - where? There hasn't been much - if any - grunge in Seattle for a while. The de facto music is jangly guitar indie pop, a very far cry from grunge.

I agree. "Grunge" hasn't existed since about 1989...

"janglie guitar indie pop"

Bwahahahahaaaaa

Accomplished stuff yes?

Maybe future peoples will find nuggets of worthwhilness in this cacophany of untalent, but meanwhile we live in the present.

And the Seattle 'music scene' seems to be largely composed of deaf eared stoners who couldn't play an instrument if their lives depended on it. (Banging/plucking an battered instrument on a city streetcorner does not qualify as musicianship. Just FYI)

Bunch of worthless, untalented, drug-smacked wannabes who couldn't music their way into a free hamburger from Dopeburger.....which by the way burned down just a couple of months after opening. RIP Dopeburgers.

No. Music requires the ability to play an *instrument* or possibly sing. Of which there is a rabid dearth of accomplishments in these parts. A vacuum really.
