Possibly relocating to Everett....Where to live? I am ok with commute if I get to live somewhere with cool views. Looking at renting a home (if possible)

Not familiar with the area at all and not sure of what area to live in. Would like to live near Lake Washington if possible. Is that even doable with the commute times to Everett?

Thanks for your help!

Lake Washington may be too far away, and it isn't cheap. Everett has many areas with nice views of mountains and water. Mukilteo is nice and has views. There are some nice views in Edmonds as well. If you want freshwater, there is Lake Stevens near Everett, which is decent size lake. There are other lakes to the north and east further out. Mill Creek is a nice, affordable area, but only the occasional mountain view.

Thanks Andy!

I have talked with other Boeing employees and they are suggesting Mill Creek or Bothell? Any advice?

Those are fine if you like family-oriented.

No big bodies of water to stare at though.

I also wouldn't go as far as the King County side of Bothell though (there is no need).

Mukilteo, and even parts of Everett near the sound wouldn't be bad ideas.

I am moving with my boyfriend and we are in our 20's so no family at this point. Looking for somewhere that has a "downtown" area to walk around and just hang out. It is really confusing with all these different areas and I really would prefer not to have a long commute. But I honestly have no idea where to really begin. I have been looking at all the threads and posts but it is very overwhelming!

Look into Everett, Mukilteo and Edmonds. These are areas with a DT that overlooks the sound. Mukilteo is the smallest out of the three. I don't know what constitutes a "long" commute for you, but Edmonds is the farthest one down. Bothell and Mill Creek are not necessarily "far away", but the traffic is horrid.

If it's overwhelming, just settle in Everett, sign up for a year's lease and use up that time to investigate your options on more deeper level.
