Default Seattle Schools and Weather?

I am told the West Seattle schools are among the best schools.
Can anyone attest to this? We also would like to know what
the winters feel like, wikipedia has Jan at 39, but with it wet
I imagine it feels colder.

It's durn cold here - but I'm from California, I bet if someone was fraom Montana it would be quite nice

And the BEST schools are on the Eastside, although I have heard from some parents there are some good ones over in West Seattle

Moving down to Austin, I would say the winter is warmer in Seattle than in Austin, even at the same temp - probably because here it's dry and cold, vs. Seattle being wet and cold? Plus, the fall and winter tend to be a little windy here in Austin, and I don't remember too much wind in Sea.(other than the rain and wind storms - but that's different than just a plain windy day like here in Austin)

I could walk around with a goretex jacket in Seattle, vs here (Austin) I needed something with more of a filler.
