I would love to be in Seattle right now - 55 degrees. It's 85 in Texas.

Think 85 is bad? It's still hovering around 100 in Phoenix - be thankful you don't live there. Come to Seattle for a visit sometime. The air is cool and fresh and you won't sweat so much. I absolutely love it here.

Today was absolutely gorgeous! When I was out earlier, it was 53 degrees without a cloud in the sky.

9 more days till we get to enjoy Seattle weather! I'm so over this heat and humidity. We're supposed to be getting a "strong cold front" this week and temps will be dipping in to the low, low 80's! ACK! Get your snow jackets ready!!

Seriously.

I know how that is. I lived in Florida for 8 years.

Ugh.. I've been here for 23 years. And NEVER got used to the heat/humidity. Can't WAIT to be out there with the clouds and cold.

I love how when we talk to friends about possibly moving out to Seattle because we love that type of climate the first thing is "OMG but it rains all the time there!!". Really? Cause this is what we've had for the past two days and the roads are all flooded. Then they act all shocked when I have to remind them that Ft Myers gets 30+ more inches of rain than Seattle. I mean, c'mon now!

True that South Florida gets alot of rain but as has been mentioned before, it is usually sunny in the morning and then the rains comes in the PM. And if you live in Florida, you also know that in Dec-Jan-Feb it is absolutely beautiful with lower humidity, sunshine and lower temps (80s and sometimes 70s).

One more thing to consider is lightning! Florida is known as the lightning capital of the world.

I also have a question to ask of the "locals" regarding the cloud cover. I know some mentioned that the clouds have movement and depth not just the gray, low layer. Since there are beautiful mountains surrounding the area, are they visible very much since the clouds are at a lower level? I love mountains and could sit and look at them and enjoy the changing views all the time but if the clouds block the view much of the time, then I think I would be disappointed. I would expect that in the winter but do the other seasons offer any respite from the low hanging clouds that block the views of the mountains (Cascades and Olympics)? Since it is cloudy alot, the ability to be able to at least enjoy the views would make up for it. I was thinking of living in the Lacey area so I would think that Rainier would be visible from there? Just wondering....
