Here comes snow :^) I smile because it's on a weekend and I don't have to drive to work.

Most likely that would be an exaggeration. And even further, I would think something like that has to be a rare thing because of the way Seattle is built. Moderating oceanic influences and mountains on it's east. I would think something like this would be more frequent east of the Cascades. However, I hear that it could snow on Sunday and Monday.

Yes, we have a big marine influence here which really moderates temperatures, and brings us our constant winter drizzle. Temperatures above ninety and below twenty are rare around here. Go east of the cascades and things change. Hotter summers, colder winters, much drier, a real four seasons type of place.

And yes, snow is a possibility for the weekend. I am happy for this as snow is my all time favorite weather! Someday I will leave Western Washington and head to a place where I can enjoy a guaranteed snowfall each and every year. (Have looked extensively into Eastern Washington and Alaska. REALLY want to experience interior Alaska, someday I'd like to make it to Fairbanks, but Eastern Washington seems more realistic for me as my first major move. Either Cle Elum, Wenatchee, Chelan, Omak, or somehwere around Banks Lake, possibly Spokane..... Have been living in Seattle area my entire life).

Snow! Finally! An early snowfall is hopefully a sign for a fantastic snow season to come! Wish late November wasn't early for snow. I've been wanting it for weeks! lol.

I wish I was in Seattle at this moment. Snow. Who would think, and in November. I remember watching an episode of Full House where Danny Tanner says "It's snowing in Tacoma", referring to his mother not being able to get a flight to San Francisco because of snow (t was the Thanksgiving episode where DJ forgot to defrost the turkey and Danny burned it). I thought "snow, in the Seattle area, in November, how unusual". I guess after the April snow in 2008, I shouldn't be too surprised.

We moved here from Texas where you would see nothing but blue sky, end on end on end for days (though of course it would be 100 degrees and drought!) and it's definitely different than that. But we have not found the weather overall to be as bad as we were told by some that it would be. I have lived in Iowa and Colorado as well and I would take Seattle weather over the Midwest by a long shot. All depends on what you are used to . People from SoCal, AZ, FL and TX seem to be more affected by the weather I think but I also know many fellow Texans up here that love it. So, to each his/her own.
I'm so glad to hear you speak positively about this area. We are wanting to leave Texas to move up there but feel a little apprehensive about the weather. I don't think it would bother me as much (I am sick and tired of this heat and the flat. boring terrain) but you hear so many negative things, it is only natural to wonder. Since you came from Texas, and you like it, it gives me hope
