Default Dating scene - looking for honest opinion

I am an Asian single contemplating a move to Seattle
Where is a good place to live? lots of singles located, safe place.
Would be nice to be near freeway (so can commute out in rush hour) and rent not too expensive
Can anyone share their experience of how the dating scene is in Seattle?

When I lived there a few years ago a good place was Queen Anne Hill. Close to downtown, freeway, international district. The University district might have less expensive rents. Also nice is Alki beach but this is not real close to freeway. Other places to consider might be Mercer Island and East of Lake Washington. Places to stay away from are Rainier valley avenue, Delridge ave, Capitol Hill (Pill Hill East).
I found the singles scene to be a little grim. But I am male so YMMV. Also the weather is pretty gray and wet during the winter and spring.
