Smile Northgate vs Lynnwood

Hi, I am going to Seattle for college.
Right now I have two colleges to choose from; North Seattle CC (Northgate) or Edmonds CC (Lynnwood).
What are the differences between those two neighborhoods? Which one do you think is better?
And I'll be glad to hear some of your personal views about each college

One big difference is North Seattle CC is within the city of Seattle, Edmonds is a suburb. Beyond that, both areas are somewhat suburban in feel, both have major malls nearby, and both are relatively safe. If you need access to downtown Seattle, Northgate is obviously much closer. Lynnwood/Edmonds has a little different weather, with the Puget Sound convergence zone making it a bit more stormy and more likely to snow in the winter. I like both. I grew up around Northgate, but Lynnwood is a decent suburb and much more affordable than the Eastside of Lake Washington. (Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond).

The main differences between colleges are in the particular major you're looking at. For example, if you want to study cooking, you would try to find out which college has a better reputation for that. You might even ask a chef which program is better ..... the same idea for biotechnology or whatever.

North Seattle. Lynnwood is okay, but no one will visit you out there. It's far away. North Seattle is more happening and Northgate is a nice area, though the traffic is bad.

Have you considered Shoreline Community College?

Thanks for the replies!
I'm not considering Shoreline CC apparently since my friends are going to EDCC and NSCC.
EDCC seems like having a better university feel (from what I've googled) but yeah I hate living in the quiet burbs.
By the way, I'm an international student who never went to America before. So, I don't really know much. Please share your thoughts

University feel? Hmm... I don't know about that. There's nothing grand about the EDCC campus. Community College campuses tend to be older and bland... pretty nondescript for most part. My husband went to EDCC briefly and liked the staff and classmates there.

Why not consider Seattle Central Community College instead? Its right next to Downtown, in a very trendy area called Capitol Hill, pretty urbane and has lots going on.

I went to Seattle Central CC for a while. Lots of action in the area around there, definitely the most fun of the 2 year colleges. Large numbers of international students, bars, cafes. I think it probably has the most course offerings of the Seattle area community colleges.

Housing costs a little more there, that's the only downside to it.
