Hello, I have been graciously hired to be a nanny for a family in Lake City to watch their young daughter (2 years old). They already have a membership to the zoo and brought up the Children's Museum, but other than the billion parks around here, I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas/suggestions for day trips or outings to take a young child around Lake City? I don't mind driving a bit if it's a good place. Thanks for the help!

Take a ferry ride! Drive over to Edmonds, park the car, walk on the ferry, ride it to Kingston, don't even get off, then ride it back - about 2 hours of 'entertainment'. (Especially good on the cool misty days.)

The ferry is great idea, don't know why I hadn't thought of that. There are tons of parks, and the EMP looks fun. Anyone have any experience with the "Great Seattle Wheel" or whatever they call it downtown?
