Shoreline neighborhood
I am considering to buy home near in shoreline, because it is near my work place downtown Seattle, and the house may bigger and affordable than other north Seattle.

Basically just don't buy an apartment or house that is directly on Aurora. Aurora is seedy and has some questionable businesses and/or people. So just look inside by a block and you'll be fine.

I'd avoid the garbage transfer station between at Meridan and 165th.
2300 N 165th St. There can be lines of cars/trucks down 165th on the weekends.
