It is the same way in most large cities (e.g. in LA, most Koreans live in Garbage Grove (ok fine, Garden Grove), Torrance, Cerritos, etc. but Koreatown is in south central LA where they had the late Rodney King inspired riots in 1992.

I drive up to Lynnwood once a week to get my groceries, etc.

I'm pretty sure the OP is asking about Asian-Asian.
Asian-Asian?

Do you mean East Asian?

No, because China spans across Asia.

I mean non-Indian, non-Pakistani, non-Bengaladeshi Asian. (is that preferable?)
It's a non-sequitur but Oriental-Asian.

Oh, you know what I'm talking about.

Oriental means "Eastern".

I don't know how old you are, but 'Oriental' used to mean Chinese and Japanese to us white Americans.

'Oriental' applies to things though, and 'Asian' applies to people.

I'm 35.

I use "oriental" for things and people.

I don't consider myself a "white" American. I don't care what color skin a person has - if they were born in the United States - they are an American.

I will use whatever term I choose - thank you very much.

"Colored" used mean African-American. Before that, there were many other words that usually meant African-American, but I bet you wouldn't have the nerve to say them on here.
