Post or answer questions? I thought this was a discussion thread on the topic of the Seattle Freeze?

I have a question for anybody who cares to answer it...how many of you have lived in any northern or central European city the size of Seattle or bigger?
London, Paris, Frankfurt, Stockholm, Copenhagen, any larger central or northern European city...

Thanks Jennibc - right back at you! Apparently I've been repping you "too much" as well Always a pleasure to read your comments

What Seattle promises and what it delivers from a personality perspective are two very different things.

I just discovered this thread and may someday read all 112 pages, but reading the article on the first page and looking at a few random posts, I was struck with how much the Seattle Freeze is like "Minnesota Nice", which many (myself included) encountered when we first moved to the Twin Cities from elsewhere. Anyone lived in both cities who can confirm my observation?

It's kind of funny how some posters opinions on Seattle seem to go contrary to the articles definition. This was my first impression too, but a few posters would have you believe saying hello to somebody is tantmount to setting their baby on fire.
