My guess is because it is easier and more fun, perhaps, to have reactionary responses that overgeneralize. I mean, really, in an open-minded place like this (tongue-in-cheek) why would anyone want to have a dialog (or heaven forbid, not respond!) when you could instead attack the integrity or intelligence of another's post? The posts that espouse moderate points of view don't get responded to half as frequently as the extreme ones on either side of the debate. Just my two cents...

What does wearing fleece have to do with being clinically depressed?

So I came up with a real Seattle Freeze killer.
The Seattle Freeze Killer:
1 cup chocolate ice cream
1 handfull of Saint John's Wort pills
2 shots whiskey
3 shots espresso
Blend it. Shoot it. Freeze OVER!

I know what the coffee is for, but what is St. John's wort for?
Another cure for the "freeze": Red Bull mixed with Rock Star.

St. Johns Wort is an herbal antidepressant..Coffee, chocolate, and whiskey is a time honored good tasting mixture. Not sure if adding some crushed herbal pills would help or increase the upchuck urge.

Oh. I didn't know St. John's Wort did that.
Eww, whiskey.
Coffee and chocolate go together like cheese and bread. I should know. I drink it when I get the chance.

Great drink recipe. Don't forget the bottle of red wine chaser (any columbia valley or chilean wine will suffice). LOL

Heheh
Well in all seriousness, I got turned onto St Johns wort this winter..it was on sale at Safeway so I just picked some up. I think it helped me this time around and I got a few of my friends on it. Not sure if its really a freeze-killer but its really nice if you struggle with Seasonal Affective Disorder (aka Its Dark and Rains Every Day So You Get Tired and Gloomy Disorder).
