Hi everybody,

Can you recommend me some nice streets in seattle and in bellevue with restaurants and bars. I am looking for a good place to go by car/taxi and then be able to move by foot from restaurant, bars, etc.

Thanks for your help.

Lukas

In Capitol Hill Broadway and Pike and Pine are all full of restaurants and bars. It's easy to move from place to place on foot. Pike and Pine and the portion of Broadway between them are a little louder and younger than the more northern area of Broadway (between Denny and Roy Street).

In Bellevue - generally there are many restaurants with bars, but not typically just bars by themselves. The largest concentration is located around Bellevue Way & NE 8th St. If you're looking for something on the Eastside, you could also check out Kirkland (Central Way & Lake WA Blvd) - it doesn't have quite as much, but things are closer together.

Not sure of what's out in Bellevue (I rarely go there), but in Seattle, Broadway, Pike, and Pine up in Capitol Hill have plenty of bars to go to. North 36th St and some of the adjacent streets in Fremont, as well as University Way in U-District have nice selections too. Or if you're ever in West Seattle, California Ave near the Alaskan Junction has a fair amount of spots too.

Capital Hill along Broadway, Pine and Pike is nothing but bars and resturants. I've lived here a lifetime and still never had a chance to visit all of them. My favorite tavern when I was younger was 'The Comet' on Pike, east of Broadway, but the crowd is now too young for me, last time I was there it has been invaded by Seattle University students. (actually, I also used to go the the 'Blue Moon' in the U district on 45th but that's another story) The 'Delux' on upper Broadway is a long time establishment which used to be good. Be warned however, strait bars are hard to find on Capital Hill.: ok:
