I will be visiting from out of town and anticipate having to spend a few days in the hospital for a minor procedure.

My question is which is the "nicest" hospital in the city of Seattle. I mean if you HAD to spend a few days in the hospital, which one would you choose based on newness, quality of patient rooms (PRIVATE ROOMS!), modern facilities like having WiFi, decent food, etc.

I have insurance so that is not a problem. I just want a safe, clean, private, quite, new hospital while I recover.

Any information would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Yes, on the Plateau in Issaquah Highlands. Overlake in Bellevue and Evergreen in Kirkland are also nice, with many new buildings though the hospitals have been there a long time. Seattle itself has none that are very new, but some are still very good, such as the University of Washington Medical Center. Even Harborview is a good hospital, you just have to deal with wierdos in the area/parking garage and emergency room patients with fake ailments wanting to get drugs.

Why do you associate a new building with a good quality hospital? If I were you I'd be looking into just the best hospital for your procedure. Maybe try to find out if any have private rooms, too. But yeah, I guess I don't see why NEW is of vital importance when you're being cut open? In fact, an older, more established hospital and staff might be better.

That said, if you want new, Overlake Bellevue's surgery recovery tower is really nice. I had a procedure there last year and had to stay overnight...they even let you order off a menu for in-room dining.
