Hello there everyone. I am new to the Renton area, I just moved here from Las Vegas. I am trying to find the best place closest to me to buy groceries. I live near Sunset and 12th (98056) and I want to know where I can get the cheapest price on groceries but yet not have to travel miles and miles. if you can help please let me know.

Thank you so much.....

Cheap groceries near that area would be Saar's (which is off of Sunset Blvd, not too far from where you are) and Winco down in Kent (off the 212th st exit on SR 169). You have a lot of stores close by like Safeway, Albertson, QFC, Fred Meyers and even an IGA-- but they are not as good a deal as Saar's and Winco.

Depending on where in Renton you are:
Grocery Outlet( Renton Highlands on Sunset)
Saar's( Renton Highlands on Sunset)
Viet Wah( Renton Highlands on Sunset) Big Asian market
DK Market( 7th and Lind near the Walmart) Produce and imported/gourmet items
and last but not least..Winco, in Kent, HWY 167 the 212th exit.
Other stores in Renton include Albertsons, QFC, Safeway, and Fred Meyer. Freddie's seems a little lower priced than the others.

Also, don't forget Grocery Outlet (click here) which is also just about within walking distance from your location, 2809 NE Sunset, in the other direction from Saars. I've always been able to find real good values at Grocery Outlets at other locations. I've never been to that particular one, however.

The Grocery Outlet in Renton is great. It's a former bowling alley, and you can tell. Plus they have wine tastings there!

Awesome, thank you everyone. This helps me a lot. I definitely am going to check out the Grocery Outlet. I love the fact that they have wine tastings.

Thanks again.
