I want to move to Washington but I'm not sure where to start. I live in a small Colorado town now and in the process of getting a divorce. My ex won't leave me alone. I also have my daughter s and her 3 little boys living with me. We need a new start. I'm a certified nursing assistant and that doesn't pay very well. My son lives in walla walla with his wife and daughters and is also planning to move to Seattle to further his education. This move will be pretty scary especially with R little boys. I will have about 4k for the move. Any advice ???

Don't choose Seattle itself. It is too expensive. Post on the main Washington forum for ideas of less expensive places nearby.

Will anyone have a job lined up?

Unless your son is in a position to help, I'd definitely look outside of Seattle. Your $4K budget will not hold a family of five for more than a month here. Luckily, there are so many beautiful spots in Washington, you shouldn't have a problem finding something perfect for a fresh start. I've lived in Colorado, and find Washington even more beautiful. Good luck!

I agree with the last two, this is a very expensive area. For that many people the $4,000 will last less than one month. You need a growing, populated area with lower prices such as the Tri-Cities area. Look into Pasco, Richland and Kennewick.
