I know and heard of stories like this over Mt. Shasta in northern California. I can tell you in all honesty we have our own 'Mt. Shasta' story. Ours is Mt. Adams. An incident appearded recently in 'The Seattle Times'. I followed this story up with a Google Search on my computer simply because I also had a simular experience. Write in on your Google Search page: 'Lights Over Mt. Adams'.
As a young highschool ager, my brothers and I worked with our father on his sheep ranch during the summer. We trailed the sheep up into the Cascades from the Yakima Valley. Our town's Historical Society asked us 'old timers' to write our family biographies. This is a small part of what I wrote: 'After a long days walk we bedded down for the night below Mt. Adams, far from any roads or farms. We were awakened by a bright light overhead but there was no sound. We could see the light reflected in the frightened sheeps eyes, the sheepdogs crawled into our sleeping bags with us, whimpering and the hobbled pack horses were thrashing about. The last thing I heard dad say was 'do you see the light?', then we zonked out. This incident occured in the early 1950's, quite a few years ago from the latest Google Search and article in 'Seattle Times' There now is groups of people out looking for these lights. Not wanting to appear as a UFO kook, which I'm not, I will let you draw your own conclusions. To you 'outsiders', please explain your own thoughts. Remember, this has happened over Mr. Shasta and is not a new phenanama, it's just that I also once had an eyewitness experience about these lights

Yeah, Mt. Adams is a well known UFO sighting hotbed. It's one of the few places in the world where you can go and pretty much be guaranteed a sight of.... something...
