Hello all.

I will be interviewing for a position at City U. Would like to know about City U from the local point of view - reputation, etc.

Also, what can you tell me about Bellevue in general? I am mainly concerned about the cost of living. I am in Dayton, OH now and think it will be close to double in Bellevue, but I won't be making double my salary. Also, is the area liberal, conservative, a mix?

If there are any cyclists on this forum, I would also be interested in hearing about your experiences. Is Bellevue bike-friendly? Are there good road and mountain bike trails?

Thanks for any and all feedback.

It so weird how people moving from elsewhere are always so obsessed with demographics...I am a Seattle native and to be honest I never really thought much about it, people in the NW seem to be pretty independent...Bellevue is pretty business oriented and CityU is like Antioch U.

You'll easily find an affordable place to live tho'

Liberal city. Reminds me of a miniature Seattle or Olympia. Cost of living in medium to medium high. Lots of good Mtn. biking and outdoor activities in general. A lot of people commute there from nearby cities most of which are more economical than Bellevue.
