I'm considering a move to Seattle from the Southern California region. I'm a recent college grad with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I'm looking for a place with a cheaper cost of living and I don't mind the weather... I'm actually used to a lot of rain (born in Hawaii, lived in Houston for a number of years) and like it. I also like the feeling of being able to drive outside the city and the natural outdoors.

What type of tech market does Seattle have? I'm familiar with the big names like Microsoft and Boeing, but what other tech companies are there? Is there any biotech in Seattle? Any suggestions on how to find job opportunities (websites, etc.)? I'm also interested in the business side/entrepreneurship of tech companies.

Thank you!

Can anyone think of any other Seattle-based tech companies (or even non-tech companies) with college recruiting programs?
