[color=black]There are plenty of positions on the eastside per se. Such as Bellevue, Kirkland, Renton, etc. Are you a career counselor or have you done recruitment as well?

Hehe, a career counselor is looking for a job, but it hasn't gone well so far, looking for some advice on how to get a job....

Sorry man, but the irony was FUNNY. I laughed, you made my afternoon. I'll be in some seriously similar shoes as you bro, especially after I finish my doctorate in philosophy at UW. Unless I can teach philosophy or write some dang good books, it will become a sideline while I do something else. GOTTA STAY POSITIVE, BRO!!!!

Best thing is to sell yourself. Show them what you have accomplished and what you are made of. No one is 100% honest in ANY resume, people always lie - so be a hustler and sell yourself.

If you want a job bad enough you will have to. Honesty pays off sometimes, but for the most part you need to learn to hustle. If I was a career counselor I would tell my job seekers the same.

Dont feel bad about over-selling yourself and adding stuff to your resume. Paint yourself in that resume, post it on Monster & Career Builder and let them find you. Also, you should consider becoming a recruiter or taking anything closely related just to make the move.

That is of course if you have your heart set on Seattle. Personally, I am leaving this dump to go to NE pennsylvania.

Read this before thinking about moving: http://www.city-data.com/forum/seattle/230723-i-dont-recommend-seattle-your-home.html

If the link doesnt work search for "I dont recommend Seattle as your home" in the Seattle forum here.
