Default How fast can you move into an apartment?

Ive been hearing some story's about how it's not so easy or quick to move into an apartment in the Seattle area. So a person with not so perfect credit is going to have problem's moving into an apartment there?

You know, that's a tough question to answer. It probably really depends on *who* you're probably renting from.

Things do seem to move a little slower in Seattle from a business standpoint (than I am used to). I would think the if you have good references that can be contacted immediately, the credit issue won't be as important.

I would think it would depend on the "not so good" credit... meaning, how not so good it may or may not be. I have, before, had it take a WHILE (a week plus) to get approved because there was someone who, I guess, shared my name elsewhere... and then in another location, my husband and I were approved right then and there (that was about a yr after that). Both places were rentals in apt complexes, not from individual owners.

Of course, we haven't rented since 2000 so I don't know how things may or may not have changed.
