Best places to eat
I'm from San Antonio Texas and have been working out here in Everett since August and will be here until mid December. I'm getting really burnt out on my daily meals from the typical chains. Anyone have any ideas to offer up, I really need to find an Italian place for next week (the boss is coming in to check up). Other than that I really enjoy, the little know hole in the wall type places... Any help would be appreciated

Can't help with Everett, but..
...if you get to Seattle, you have an embarassment of riches.
Italian - Volterra in Ballard. Consistently spectactular.
Mexican - La Carta de Oaxaca in ballard for traditional and Agua Verde in the U District for simple, delicious food. El Camino in Fremont for the margaritas and the scene.
Seafood - take your pick. Rays for the views, Flying Fish for Northwest, Dahlia Lounge for the Tom Douglas original (leave room for the unreal dessertss).
Steak - El Gaucho on an expense account; Jak's in West Seattle or Laurelhurst for mid-range, very good stuff.
That's just a sampling... every in-city neighborhood has great stuff. I live in Greenlake, and Olive You on Greenwood Ave has terrific, reasonable Mediterranean food... as an example.

Thanks for the info. I'm staying in Lynnwood and probably will need an Italian place closer rather than farther for this boss visit.
But when I can get weekend off I've been make trips to places my team has suggested, I'll have to add your suggestions as well saltydawg. ("Salty Dog" was the name of great little club in Phx. Az. Seeing your screen name brought back lot's of good memories from my early punk days. Thanks for that too)

Finding a good restaurant in Lynnwood is tough, and it's even tougher when you take out the chains. Your best bet might be Macaroni Grill at Alderwood, if you really need to stick close to Lynnwood.
Your best bet is to head in to Seattle and try one of the restaurants already listed. There's also Cafe Piccolo in Maple Leaf and Rialto near Green Lake - both are smaller, family operations that are reasonably priced.

Boca di Beppo is in Lynnwood, I think... if it's not, then it's Spaghetti Warehouse...

Buca Di Beppo is in Lynnwood. Definitely make a reservation though.
I would recommend Lombardi's though over that. It is in Everett down by the marina, next to the base. Anthony's is there also, along with their Woodfired Grill. Again, make reservations at any of these.

Sorry, I just realized my post was not real clear. Lombardi's is Italian, but Anthony's is not. I just wanted to give you another option of a good place to dine with your boss.

Hey Otherhalf...
funny you mention the Salty Dog in Phoenix - I've been there as well, and had a blast. Was there on a Halloween some years ago, and the waitresses were off the charts. Fun place.
Good luck in your culinary adventures!
