Commute time: Federal Way <-> Seattle
Hi, I am thinking of moving to Federal Way. My job is in Seattle. Can anybody let me know how long it takes to commute from Federal Way to Seattle?
If I want to come to work at 8:30 in the morning, then, when do I have to leave?

That's probably a good hour+ each way, worse if it's raining.

If you're working downtown, take the bus. Better yet, look along the Sounder rail line and take the train.

I'm in the opposite situation...
I'm looking at a job that is in Federal Way, and I am planning on living in Seattle. How is the reverse commute?

Metro's 194 bus takes about 66 minutes between Federal Way ( s 320th St) and University Street Station...You could drive it in half an hour at 2AM on a Sunday.

I watch the news every morning, and the traffic ticker for Federal Way to Seattle is always at least 50+ minutes, and I've seen it as bad 80 minutes. Definitely look into public transit.
The reverse commute isn't bad in the morning, don't know about the evening, though.
