The Pacific Northwest is right of center, except for a few fascist/progressive cities like Seattle, Portland, and Eugene. Since fascism/progressivism is based on failed ideas, I expect this region to trend classic liberal/libertarian in the future.

Nice try VictorianSoundbite. The cartoons are a telling clue.

Liberals are corporate tools enslaved by a system that give a small social liberty to its charges, administered by its puppet government. All the Fed and the owners of the Fed inform you of is what is imperative to do and believe and practice.

That isn't freedom, it's serfdom.

Thank you, Smelly, for gracing us with your enlightened wisdom.
Thanks to your keen assessment of liberals, there will be no identity crisis for the likes of me!!!

There is nothing funny about Lenin. Fremont should be ashamed. At least they need to cover the statue with red paint for all the blood of all the people killed by his hand.
Damn, Fremont sounds worse than Berkeley. Amazed I've never heard of it before.

Thank goodness it is nowhere near as nutty as Bezerkley or Oakland.

They are. I'm convinced that the flight from California is conservatives and moderates. I just don't have the stats to back it up, only anecdotes.

And I talked about this in another thread, about the book "The Big Sort."

Sans Seattle, Washington is a slight right of center state. It's why you will never see an income tax in this state and why Tim Eyman racks of the initiative victories.

...or why it legalized gay marriage and pot. Yep, that's "right of center" alright

How about I show you the 2008 election map?

So, is Seattle that big, or is it just that plenty of counties besides King went for "socialist" Obama?

You can say there is a west/east divide, which I agree with, but to say only Seatle is liberal is absurd. The pacific coast and Puget Sound areas are pinko territory, always was.
