That is one area we are thinking of possibly buying a house this year. My husband doesn't like the whole planned look (reminds him of Irvine, CA) but I don't mind too much. What's your experience living there? Is it safe to walk around? Do kids play outside on the street? Are neighbors friendly? Any other pros and cons? Thanks.

Just finalized a contract for a home out there. Don't know why so many dislike communities that are clean and well tendered.

I see a lot of folks walking and running. I didn't see kids in the streets, at least not on the main roads (which is good), there are plenty of parks and grassy areas for that. This was on a Saturday.

If I could tag a downside, it's that a lot of the homes were built 20-30 years ago. Means there is a good deal of sweat equity getting rid of silly things like shag carpet and such.

Some are newer yes... but a good number are not. Seems the higher the price, the newer it is.
