I have a small camper, T@B, and i am looking for a place to park it for 3 mos. i am a traveling nurse and i will be on an assignment in Seattle. I was thingking to do it at one of the marinas in the area or parking in at someones home, if the have enough land. i need t use their electric, wifi, bathroom and shower, my camper is not equiped with that. Does any one have any suggestion how i can search for that? Thank you

A home is more likely than a Marina, those have strict rules and only hookups on the docks for overnight or resident boaters. There are RV campgrounds with hookups in Bellevue and Issaquah. Both are within a reasonable walk to bus service into Seattle. Seems like it would be hard to find a home willing to provide the space and other amenities to a stranger.

Check Craigs List, of course be careful. I recently saw exactly the situation you are looking for listed under houses for rent. The couple had like 20 acre3s and had made 2 or 3 improved areas with water and electric, not sure about sewer or wifi. However, your best bet is likely a RV park. When I moved here I spent three months at Blue Sky RV in Preston, right off I90. It was a beautiful park that was safe and clean. Had showers, water, cable, Internet, sewer etc, plus shower/bathroom facilities. I want to say it was about $600/month, which is pretty cheap living in this area.

I second (or third) the advice to look into the RV parks. I've known a few traveling RNs that have camped in them for three months and have been pretty happy with Trailers Inn RV Park, and it isn't too far from the Eastgate park and ride.

This park is always full, so it must have some good points. Probably location. But honestly it is packed in close with no trees and lots of highway noise. Consider a few miles up the road at Blue Sky where it has big trees, big spaces, easy access to trails and quiet. But it is a few more miles to drive.

Lake Pleasant RV Park in Bothell is really nice. They have pads surrounding a lake with well maintained grounds. I believe they have all the facilities you would need, though I'm not sure about wifi access. Good luck to ya!

My neighbor's son just parked his RV in the driveway and lived in it for close to 10 months. The whole time he was heavily using heroin and meth so it was pretty disgusting. Towards the end he was relieving himself in the yard like a dog. Be aware that a significant number of the people living in RV's and cars have a similar lifestyle, so don't be surprised if people are a bit apprehensive of your request or presence.
