Any specific recommendations for a swimmable lake (besides Lake W) nearby to Bothell? Thanks.

Juanita Beach and Silver Lake. Neither of which are right in bothell. The lake washington beaches vary quite a bit in swimability as there aren't many shallow parts that get warm enough, and the smaller shallow lakes can get "itchy".

St. Edwards State Park is one of the closest I can think of... not really a beach, but there were quite a few families hanging out in the water.

There's Martha Lake (east Lynnwood) or Cottage Lake (in Woodinville).

Just off of I-5, south of Everett and north of Mill Creek.
