It is time for people to evolve and get away from 1800's relic forms of transportation that suck billions away from other areas. Or at least make the people who use and directly profit the most from it pay for it entirely. Forcing progressive people in cars to pay for greedy transit parasites via govt. force be it by fine, by gun, or the stripping of freedom (jail) is evil.
Your ever so progressive people in cars pay 100% for the roads they drive on. Not one penny from any other source other than fuel taxes and user fees is ever used for those roads.

Or because the state didn't give them enough of a tax subsidy? Or because nobody had heard of Seattle?

Boeing moved to Chicago, i have heard, because their defense business was becoming a larger piece of their pie and they wanted a central location between dc and seattle and a neutral location so that internal units didn't feel like one part of the biz was more of a priority to the other.

I heard this too, The Mcdonnell Douglas people wanted the move once the companies merged because of those reasons.

If anyone thinks Boeing moved because Seattle is not "Known" is ridiculous.
