What would you think if you sat down in your seat and saw this? 757-200. Row 25 Left side of aircraft, just behind the wing.

What's your point? Are you suggesting that the engineers are at fault or something? The last 757 was made in 2004 and the first was made in 1982...

This plane is starting to be phased out...

I'm sure there is a warranty or something, but after a point it's up the airline.

My point is, this happened to me recently on a flight. I was a bit startled when I noticed it near the end my flight. I guess I am looking for feedback. Was there reason for concern besides my three year old accidentally stepping it, etc...? Just soliciting input is all. Not blaming anyone, especially the engineers. The 757 is my favorite mid size aircraft. Over the years I have enjoyed many coast to coast flights in the 757.

It looks like an air vent that has its cover missing. Not a big deal. Probably should have brought it to the attention of the F/A. Nothing to worry about.

That would be Delta. I have already contacted them through their webiste and have recieved a few emails regarding it.
