I would like to hear from those who know Seattle well; what do you think of these humorous neighborhood labels?
Would you say anything different or in addition to what's on this map? (Edmonds or Everett for example)

JUDGMENTAL MAPS: Seattle, WA #2 by .Aneurismic Copr. 2014...

I'd say it is pretty accurate.

I'd add "New Chinatown" in place of "Nope" in north Seattle. It doesn't give a hint about all the Asians camping out on Beacon Hill.

Apparently they believe Renton will be obliterated when Mt. Rainier blows, so why mention it.

Some real judgmental labels: Bellvoid, Billville, Blahville, Boringham, Brain Dead Island, Bummertown, The Dry Sh*tties, Everott, Hellvue, Lynnhood, Open Sores, Plastic Plains, Poverty Rock, Profanity Hill, Rat City, the Smell by the Bay, Swellvue, the Swish Alps, Vansterdam, the Wetside (vs. the Dryside).

Funny, but mostly puns. Btw, can you explain why "Alaska Junction" and "California" on Vashon Island? And what are the "Semi-legal Start-ups" in Kirkland? Thanks!

Pretty cute.

Because it's not Vashon, it's West Seattle, and the "California" I presume refers to the wall of condos facing the bay and Alki Beach, not to mention volleyball nets and a constant stream of joggers, skaters and cyclists.

It has it's fun parts. I like the "California"... exactly what Alki beach is on a warm, sunny day.

It's pretty clear that the author has far less familiarity with NE Seattle though. Lake City Way, when we lived 1 block off of it, seemed confusingly edgy in places (McDonald's playland across the street from Deja Vu) and I would have called Northgate "East Africa" instead of "???".

Cool historical photo! Anyone know what are the "semi-legal start-ups" of Kirkland?
