Cool Anyone like Urban Fantasy? Need a little help if you please,,,

Hi everyone. I'm writing an Urban Fantasy set in seattle and I need a little help. Would anyone be willing to indulge me a little? It's been awhile since I've been there and for the live of me I can't think of where I'd find the Werewolf bar, lol.

There's the hole in the wall all Werewolf Sportsbar -- a little seedy, but comfortable. A place for wings, beer, and of course the game. They don't even kick you out if you're not rooting for the hometeam. -- I was thinking Belltown perhaps?--

The Tourist trap Vampire bar where "normal" people go to walk on the dark side and buy overpriced drinks. I was thinking downtown Seattle, someplace near the water but dont know what the area's called.

The all supernatural Irish Pub. Comfy, clean, unassuming, kick back. Out of the way...

A very posh upscale all Vampire Club. Undergound (the top level's a fancy bar). No clue where this would be....

Also, what's the neigborhood near UW called with all the clubs and hangouts and suff -- University Square?

Thank you so much!!

Freemont or Ballard

Alaskan way - Harbor front (But I would pick Pioneer Square for this one)

Queen Anne

Belltown

University District

Werewolves are the blue collar monster. I'd put that bar in Georgetown and make it like Jules Mae - The Bar That Won't Go Away - News - The Stranger, Seattle's Only Newspaper

The Tourist trap Vampire bar where "normal" people go to walk on the dark side and buy overpriced drinks. I was thinking downtown Seattle, someplace near the water but dont know what the area's called.

If it's really a tourist trap, you've got two choices: Pike Place Market or Pioneer Square. There is a cobblestone alley that runs through/under the Market (Post Alley) and there is a bar in that alley. I'd base it on that - it's just a little out of the way from where most tourists go, even though they are just upstairs, and it feels dangerous and dark at night time. Here is a VR tour of Post Alley - Virtual Tour of Post Alley - VR Seattle . The bar I'm thinking of is the Alibi Room Alibi Room Seattle - Hours, menu, directions, private parties

The all supernatural Irish Pub. Comfy, clean, unassuming, kick back. Out of the way...

I'd put this bar as just a neighborhood bar, someplace like Fiddler's Inn in Wedgewood, Reading Gaol in Ballard or someplace on Phinney Ridge. These are all neighborhood locations and don't tend to attract a lot of people from outside the neighborhood, which sounds like what you want.

A very posh upscale all Vampire Club. Undergound (the top level's a fancy bar). No clue where this would be....

If you want very, very posh, mimic Canlis. It is a restaurant on the north end of Queen Anne hill overlooking Lake Union with a view to the north. The place has been a Seattle tradition for decades. You could have a similar restaurant or bar with an underground lair. There is another place called Ponti, near the Fremont Bridge that is fancy and has a nice view of the ship canal. And there is a funeral home next door.

The obvious choice for this is Pioneer Square, but there aren't many posh places in that part of town.

Somewhere on Capitol Hill there is (or was; I last drove by there about a year ago) a nightclub named the "Bad Ju Ju Lounge".

I know of a few Irish pubs in several places ... U District, Wallingford, elsewhere. I think the location of your supernatural one would depend on your story's atmosphere. Are the magic types just trying for a quiet spot by themselves? Is it a recruiting station or social center?

The Irish Pub is just a supernatural hangout the only "supernatural only" bar that's open to all SuNats (not just Werewolfs or Vamps, etc). Run by an Irish Vampire it's the kind of place that humans walk past all the time but never feel the need to stop in. It might be used from time to time for meetings of various groups. But more or less it's a place where you don't have to worry about throwing darts too fast or being too rough with the pool cues. Occasionally there's some live music, and live mayhem.

One time this demon walks into the bar...
