I'm pretty sure you're going to have trouble finding an apartment in the $750/mo. range in Redmond. There are a few studios in that price range but have income restrictions. If your DH has a good offer at Microsoft, then you probably won't qualify.

I think you'll either have to plan to spend more or make a lengthy commute.

Again, please read some of the other threads here about the weather. We've had numerous threads on the topic. If you have specific questions after doing that, don't hesitate to come back and ask.

Thanks.

In addition to what Scirocco22 wrote about weather, there are at least three current Threads on the WA forum about finding living places near Microsoft. Click the Search button at the top of this page to look for topics.

YOUR MICROSOFT RELOCATION ADVISOR or HIRING PERSON:
That person is PAID to know everything, find everything, be on your side, and provide you with PRACTICAL HELP. USE that person! Get on your phone at the crack of dawn tomorrow at 8:01 Pacific Time and make that person feel important, needed and wonderful that he/she is earning their salary by helping your family transition happily to Microsoft! That's their job.

RENTALS:
AFTER your MS advisor, the best resource for rentals is the combined Classifieds for the two largest local newspapers. These Classifieds cover Seattle and pretty much all Redmond, Bellevue and Issaquah. The site is called NWSource.com. I selected for you down to the east side (the area you'll want): the link as I've pasted it here has a break -- don't put any breaks in it.
http://rentals.nwsource.com/rentals/searchCriteria.asp?p=C&CountyIds=20&CountyIdCount= 1&search2=No

There's also Craigslist.

Happy looking!

Make sure that when you go to rent somewhere you mention that your husband works for Microsoft. Most places give you a discount for they have an arrangement set up with them. At least it was this way for us when renting last year. Every place had a list of employers that got discounts and dh's company was on them and so was Microsoft.
