Since convergence of free time and good weather expected this weekend, any suggestions on choosing some outdoor time at either:
Alki Beach/Schmitz Park versus
Mukiteo Lighthouse and maybe south too to Meadowdale beach / Brackett's Landing?
Anything not worth it here, better to skip?
Any suggested eats in Mukiteo and south area?
Where best to park by Schmitz/Alki?
Thanks in advance.

Well, my preference would be Rialto Beach (hike to Hole-in-the-Wall)...will take about four hours to get there, though.

Closer would be Dungeness Spit - figure around two hours.

Lol. I'm looking for a quicker day activity. I hiked to Point of the Arches at the end of Shi Shi last summer (~<10 miles rt hike); took a few days drive to get there as made some other great stops along the olympic loop.
But now it is as thread title, more local to Seattle, if others have helpful suggestive viewpoints...

bloom, do you know Discovery Park in Magnolia? It is an amazing place, so close in but you feel like you can be lost all alone sometimes. Woods, meadows, bluffs, beach, lighthouse, it has it all.

Yes, been there, done that.
Mostly don't prefer to do repeats with some prominent exceptions.

If you do go to Alki, park on Harbor Ave before it becomes Alki proper. It's great for views of Seattle, but not exactly a nature walk. Schmitz has old growth forest, but it's fairly small. Lincoln Park in West Seattle has nice trails, as does Seahurst Park in nearby Burien. I've hiked in Meadowdale Park. Also not large, but nice.

Good call Gardyloo, You can't go wrong with a Diamond Knot cold pint. Must try their "hot rock" sandwiches, they bring a hot, flat stone to your table, you finish cooking the items on it after they place it down, delicious sandwiches: The Menu - Diamond Knot Craft BrewingDiamond Knot Craft Brewing
