You mean they're difficult to light if they're wet?

I have a history of RA like joint pain. The weather here does not bother me at all in that regard. Cold bothers me most and it is rarely very cold.

Yes, the damp gives me joint pain & stiffness...same for my spouse. We both have osteoarthritis. It sucks.

My wife gets a little stiff this time of year. Exercise and some sun seeking over the mountains seems to help.

I do - it's not as bad here as I would have expected. Sure, I feel it a little more in the winter, but then I make sure I stay on top of working out. It's not nearly as bad as places where it gets extremely cold.

OP, I developed rheumatism after a prolonged period of inactivity due to health issues. I was told that to beat it, pretty much all I had to do was become active again. So I got back into my gym routine, started talking daily walks again, and in about 6 months, the problem resolved itself.
