Are you telling employers that you're disabled? That might be why you're getting the interviews, but doesn't mean you'll get the job. Legally, as long as they've got a more qualified applicant, they can pass you by. Many, while giving you an interview to cover their behinds, will just pass you by, even if they don't have a more qualified applicant (sue them).

I wish you all the luck in the world and truly hope that you're getting interviews will actually turn into a job, although I'm skeptical...

Nope I'm not telling employers that I'm disabled.

That's employment descrimination which goes on all over the United States unfortunately.

Los Angeles, and the California dream in general, is dying. In the coming years I imagine people will be headed out for other parts of the country for many of the same reasons you are. I grew up on the Westside of L.A. but lived most of my adult life in Studio City (hello, fellow SFV dweller!). My son recently decided not to go to CSUN because of how badly classes are impacted right now. So many students, not enough spaces, not enough jobs...the future is troubling.

I love it here, and think it's actually a great place for folks on the spectrum. Don't be discouraged by Costco. There is a ton of growth and opportunity up here right now. If the weather wouldn't put you off, I don't see any reason not to pursue Seattle. It's my favorite place. Good luck!

Wow

You are from my area of the sfv. I guess I'm not alone. Hopefully moving to Seattle would be a good choice for me.

Kind of the same reason as you. But in general because I think LA is a few inches away from hell on Earth.
