We have a large tv and some furniture that we need to have removed. It weighs to much for hubby to carry himself so I need a junk removal place to come here and take it. Any suggestions? I have no problem paying someone but cannot seem to find out what people do with old tv's / furniture around here. Thanks!

Used 'em. Good service. They junked a washer, dryer and fridge for me. Tell them what you are moving and they will quote you a rate over the phone. The rate they quoted was the rate I paid.

A small all-classifieds paper, with private ads advertising everything imaginable. Little Nickel is in stores both big and small, in King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties, somewhere near the doors or the front windows or the cash register there's always a small pile of New York Post-size (not the large N.Y.Times size) yellow newspapers, folded once. They're changed weekly.
I Googled it and found Little Nickel Classifieds

Thanks for the nice words, Pittgal! I tried to give you rep and got "You must spread some rep around...." so I've obviously repped you recently.

Little Nickel is pretty invisible until you look for it and know what it looks like. Then you'll always see it in stores. All kinds of locals who have products or services to sell, including real estate, can be found in Little Nickel. I think it costs a -- hmmmm, nickel! :-) -- to place an ad. Used to, anyway! Oh I forgot -- Little Nickel is free!
