January 23rd was a glorious day in Seattle. Took a walk, and
another ferry ride.

Started out dt in the financial district. Walked by the new
5th & Madison condo. Some people were moving in already.

Decided to head up to the top of Columbia Center, our tallest.
If you're ever around there you must check out the views. It's
open Mon-Fri from 9-5pm and its only $5.

Lake Washington, Bellevue and the Cascade Mountains

The Olympic Mountains

From there I left Colubmia Center, hopped on a metro bus(free within dt)
on 4th Ave. down to 3rd & Pike. Hopped on a #2 bus and got off on
Queen Ann Hill.

Walked down Highland Drive. One of Seattle's most beautiful streets imo.

Spring is just around the corner.

View Park at the end of Highland

What a view

Walked back out to Queen Ann Ave. Didn't show you but QAA is a
great street with lots of amenities like restaurants, coffee shops,
a great bookstore, hair salons and boutiques.

Jumped on the #2 down the hill on my way back dt to Pike Place Market.

Met up w/some friends and had lunch at Lowell's at Pike Place.
Tom Hanks filmed a scene here from the Sleepless in Seattle movie.

After lunch I thought hey what about another ferry ride. So we
dashed out of Pike Place heading to the waterfront to catch the
3pm ferry to Bainbridge. Walking to the ferry terminal I took these.
1521 2nd Avenue condo under construction.

Boarding the ferry

Leaving Seattle

Back to Seattle

Back over to Queen Ann Hill for the sunset

That's all for now. Hope you enjoyed.

Default Well done as always, PWright.

Just had another thought, what with all of the constant complaining about the weather.

I think what separates people even more than the ability to not melt if it's wet outside is the ability to not dwell on dim, cloudy days in the freaking winter. T

The past few days HAVE been glorious and cold, and I haven't once thought 'well, just another day or two before it's gloomy,' because heck, rain means no frozen spots on the sidewalks

Besides, the snow in the mountains gets crusty in these dry spells, and I want some POWDER!

Another batch of excellent photos, pwright1!

Today looks like another good day to take the camera out -- at least from what I can see.

Those pictures couldn't have been taken during the winter in Seattle. We all know that it rains constantly here... the sun never shines in Seattle during the winter...

Your pictures are incredibly beautiful!
