So, I am debating moving to Seattle next summer. I will be 31 (single, male) if I move and I am trying to decide if this is a good place for a fresh start. Been in kind of a rut in Birmingham and I can't decide if this is a good place. I read mixed reviews of Seattle. I have a business degree and have worked in IT for the past 8 years. Now I am not Microsoft level IT, but I do have the business side of the equation. I will be also getting my MBA in the next two years. I know that I would not move if a job wasn't locked in. I am a pretty social person and feel pretty comfortable about making friends anywhere i go. I'd just like to know if this is a good place for someone my age and looking to start fresh? All help is greatly appreciated.

You said this "pretty comfortable about making friends anywhere i go". so you'ld be fine here, or anywhere! Great IT experience plus an MBA is a good combo.

Thank you for your reply. I am really looking some feedback about the city. One of my favorite things to do is play golf. How is the golfing in Seattle?

Lots of fine golf courses in and around Seattle. But, be prepared to golf in cool and wet weather for at least half the year.

Seattle, Washington Golf Courses. Just think cool and drizzly like Scotland when you golf here, but isn't that where golf started?

Golfing may be better in Birmingham.
