We are relocating to this area and any suggestion is appreciated. Here's what we are looking for:

2 bedrooms or more
2 car garage
within 30 minutes commuting one-way to Microsoft main campus
relaxed, safe area
quiet, natural setting, trees, etc
close to neighborhood shops, restaurants
has a community feel, not just another suburbia with McMansions
$1500 per month or less

Both of us are used to living in a house and we do not want a typical apartment or condo. We don't have kids yet but are planning on starting a family this year. School is not an issue right now since we'll be renting.

I've read some good things about Duvall. How is the commute from Duvall? Are there any other towns like it close to Microsoft? Thanks so much.

If you want a house with other kids around and small parks for that kind of money, look on Novelty Hill. Unfortunately, those houses are pretty packed-in with one another. If you want a more private setting, look further north on Avondale Road - up near Cottage Lake, perhaps. You will find more neighborhood-like settings and you will have more room to breathe. Commuting from Duvall at peak traffic times is AWFUL. Traffic is horrible and you'll drive yourself nuts. If you can commute before 6-7 am and after 7 pm, traffic is fine from/to Duvall.
