Can work if you're the type others are more likely or willing to "invite home" (when the bars close?). Beware the so-called "Seattle Freeze", however (whether a freeze or just a chill is another question). Also, be aware that, due to escalating rents and rapid gentrification, there is high demand for roomshares, which can make it hard to find one, especially if from out-of-town without local references or a network of friends. With many roomshares, you still need to pass muster with the landlord. Without a job, it can be hard to get a place; without an address, it can be hard to find a job. Better to have at least six-months living expenses, if moving here without a job.

Good news, everyone. I remembered that I have an old friend who lives in Seattle and she's gonna let me crash at her place and help me find an apartment and everything. So that's sorted. Now, I just need to figure out how I'm going to sell my car, store my stuff, and get someone to mind the cats until I can come back for everything.

Thanks, anyway. ^_^
