VERY hard to find, OP! A lot of the salons hire people just out of hairdresser school, who only know how to do styles they were taught in school, which they apply to everyone, irrespective of whether a style is suitable to a client's facial features, etc. The only truly good one I found ended up changing owners and letting all the talented, experienced people go.

Good luck! I'd recommend avoiding the chain businesses, for sure. Look for the boutique-type shops. You'll have to go through a certain amount of trial and error.

My stylist is Jesse at Seven Salon in Bellevue Square. I love him and I love my hair when he's done with it. He's been cutting my hair there for somewhere around 6-7 years. Not sure how long he was there before I joined him, but clearly he's experienced. Even now that I spend the majority of my time in either the Virgin Islands or on the Gulf Coast, I still wait to get my hair cuts with Jesse in Bellevue. I don't have any personal experience with colorists, if that's part of what you're after, but I'd still say that's a good place to start.

Thank you so much! Even though your answer made me a bit sad as I hoped that the situation with hairdressers in USA would be way better.

P.S. I cant afford "trial and errors". The haircut affects my mood too much )))

Thanks! Your devotion to your hairdresser says a lot. I have got a good one too but for certain reasons cant use her now.
