I've landed in Puyallup on a whim, and I'll be here for the first month with a bike and no car. S O S! Tacoma and Seattle seem to have a lot to offer in regards to alternative activities but Puyallup seems to be a different story as you may know if you've seen all the massive lifted trucks, harleys and good ol'boys here (which are lovely in their own right).

I've discovered a metaphysical shop and some yoga spots but I am hoping to find a community of free spirits like myself... hooping, fire dancing, pole dancing, yoga, energy healing... and all that jazz. Even a good vibin' coffee shop or a Co Op would be nice to know about. I've yet to find a health food store here that isn't a tiny shack with a few herbs in it. And believe me... I've googled.

Any tips or hits on strange and wonderful places would be deeply appreciated.

Aloha

It's not in Puyallup, but you should check out Georgetown this weekend! They're having the wonderful Georgetown Carnival - I think it'll be right up your alley.

It's a cool little industrial/artsy neighborhood with a lot of quirky charm. See ya there!

Yeah. Puyallup is going to be tough. If you can get to the ferry in Tacoma and get over to Vashon Island (even for the day), you will find your tribe and maybe wake up ten years later never having left
