Yes, it seems been a 50% summer - that is, half days a bit cool, cloudy, rainy, but no real 90 degree weeks like last year. I'm hoping for a remainder of August and September and into October, but no one knows.

Seriously? Who wants 90-degree weeks? The cooler summers are great. You do realize that last year was an anomaly, right?

This summer has been fantastic- mostly in the 70's, that is perfect- not too hot, not cold. Summers like last year were miserable, too hot, a reminder of how bad summer is almost everywhere from east of the Cascades all the way to the east coast- no thanks! And made especially worse by the fact that most people here do not have air conditioning.

I assume these are rhetorical questions.

This summer has been fantastic in my opinion. Mostly in the 70's with a few warmer/cooler days thrown in. Some clouds, but tons of sunshine. Hardly any rain so far. I love how the days stay relatively cool for most of the day and then warm up a bit late in the afternoon only to cool way down at night. I am dreading the warmer weather coming later this week. If this is summer in Seattle, sign me up for good!

It's a culture shock, but it doesn't take that long to adjust. I adjusted very quickly. People tend to keep to themselves, and don't seem as happy. The lack of sun does weird things to people psychologically. I pretty much figured that one out on my own, but I was recently reading a report written by a therapist talking about the mental effects and it was spot on. I lasted two years, now I'm back in SD Probably gonna relocate somewhere new soon though. I love SD, but theres some things I'm dealing with that would be easier to cope if I were living somewhere a little slower. Have fun in the Northwest! It sure is a great experience, but by the end of it I was definitely ready to get out of there. Good luck, the homesickness comes in strong pretty quickly.
