Even though i live in northgate seattle and can walk to a qfc on Roosevelt and northgate way in enjoy taking the 40 bus and shopping at fred meyer ballard and greenwood.

I feel that fred meyer is usually better stocked than qfc northgate and qfc ballard. Qfc university village is well stocked for some reason.

Tonight i was at fred meyer ballard and got alot of fresh fruit onsale.

I live in West Seattle and drive 20 minutes south to the Fred Meyer in Burien, which is a lot cheaper than the QFC and Safeway that are close to my house.

Why not go to the Burien Fred's? It's not very far, and you don't cross Seattle traffic.
