Hi, Jolierod. Areas north of I-90 generally have better schools than areas south of I-90, according to the consensus of C-D posters. The south exception is Olympia, which has great schools according to many, many C-D posters, and in some places also has some land available.
For useful research, real estate for sale info seems to be almost completely covered in the area around Seattle, including outlying cities, by MLSonline -- the link is:
Seattle Real Estate, Top Seattle Real Estate Search, TheMLSonline.com
There are also: realtor.com, and, for King County only, homes.com. And don't forget Craigslist.
For the Olympia area, you can also check The Olympian newspaper:

Not trying to beat a dead horse (ha!) but obviously I don't think of all of Washington state as a bastion of bestiality. I just bring that up whenever anyone from there bad mouths NYS. However, someone else mentioned it, it is not illegal in the state of Washington to have sex with animals. Ok, that's it. That's my 2 cents about Enumclaw.
Anyway, I believe WA is gorgeous and would love to move out there myself. And I apologize for not really being able to add anything helpful to this thread.

At the time the incident in Enumclaw took place it wasn't Illegal, but a law was passed in June of 2006 making it illegal.

Additionally, I don't think because that there was no law in place, that it meant that it was encouraged. I guess it never crossed our lawmakers minds that we would need a law to ban bestiality, because the notion of fu**ing horses was just too outlandish to ever happen in reality.

Enumclaw is nice and the zip code 98022 is VERY big, and VERY rural, so I like it.
It is a small city and a large county area.
Rural schools are always better than city schools.

Enumclaw is nice, very rural good access to Auburn, Bonney Lake and Puyallup for Big Box shopping. Have you checked out Maple Valley Washington? Maple Valley is the neighboring city to the North. Closer in for better commuting to Bellevue, Issaquah and Seattle. The Schools are the main reason people move to Maple Valley.

The traffic in and around Maple Valley has improved since they fixed four corners.

The White River school system has a great reputation in the area. Most of the people you'll talk to moved to the area just so their kids could go to school there.
Bonney Lake just built a new high school too that people seemed to be really excited about.

we recently moved to the Bonney Lake area and live less than a block from the middle school and new high school. Their facilities are really great. Our kids are in the middle school but I've heard that the high school is real strict. Not sure how, as we're not in there yet. But I figure better for them to be strict than too lenient and too little structure for the kids.
We're up higher than the valley area and it kind of gives you that feeling of living in a little mountain town, especially when it snows. It's beautiful!
Our neighborhood is really great, quiet and lots of families walking kids in strollers and their dogs.

I'm a product of the Enumclaw school and I also taught here for a couple of years. However, I would buy in Buckley for the White River school district. It is on the verge of being a top district in the state. They are very innovative. When my kids are school age, I'll be teaching there so they can be wavered in.
PS-The horse thing was at the end of my folks dead end road. We had no idea what was going on. It is NOT typical of Enumclaw.
